The Anti-Aging Environment Audit

A room-by-room checklist to remove hidden toxins and age-accelerators from your home. A free bonus guide from the Texas Institute for Anti-Aging Research.

TIFAAR Bonus Guide

A room-by-room checklist to remove the hidden toxins and “age-accelerators” hiding in your home. Walk through each room, tick off what you fix, and turn your house into a place that works for your body instead of against it.

Room One

The Kitchen

The inflammation audit — clear out what quietly “rusts” your cells.

Toss the “Rust”

Throw away vegetable, canola, soybean and corn oil. Replace with olive oil, avocado oil, or butter/ghee.

Ditch the BPA

Recycle old plastic tupperware, especially if it is scratched. Replace with glass storage containers.

Filter the Water

Install a tap filter or use a filtered pitcher to reduce chlorine and heavy metals.

Check the Salt

Toss bright white table salt. Replace with Pink Himalayan or Celtic Sea Salt for trace minerals.

Room Two

The Bedroom

The sleep sanctuary — set the room up for deep, restorative rest.

Blackout Check

Can you see your hand in front of your face at night? If yes, it is too bright. Add blackout curtains or use a sleep mask.

Phone Distance

Move your phone charger to the other side of the room to stop late-night scrolling and keep it away from your head.

Cool Down

Set the thermostat to 67°F–69°F for optimal deep sleep.

Tape the Lights

Use small pieces of black electrical tape to cover little red/blue power lights on TVs or smoke detectors.

Room Three

The Bathroom

The toxin audit — your skin absorbs what you put on it.

Deodorant Check

Does your deodorant contain aluminum? If so, switch to an aluminum-free natural brand.

Skin Food

Check lotions for “parabens” or “phthalates.” If you would not eat it, be careful putting it on your skin.

The Cold Finish

Add a sticky note to your shower door: “Last 30 seconds = COLD.” A simple daily reminder for a metabolic boost.

Room Four

The “Go” Bag

Daily resilience — small swaps that steady your energy on the move.

Hydration

Carry a stainless steel or glass water bottle. Avoid drinking from hot plastic bottles left in the car.

Protein Snack

Keep a non-perishable, high-protein snack (like beef jerky or almonds) on hand to prevent blood sugar crashes.
